Fair Rates with No Hidden Costs

I believe in honest prices, so you know what you’re paying for. There are no surprises and no hidden fees, just prices you can trust.

I like to keep my pricing clear and simple. I offer competitive pricing with either fixed price or hourly rates, depending on the type of work:

I’m happy to quote for planned work, and quotes are binding so there are no surprises. Many jobs can be quoted over the phone. If I need more information to provide a quote, then I can estimate over the phone and visit the property to provide a quote.

Emergency callouts are also welcome. I don’t charge extra for emergencies. For hourly work, I charge £70 for the first hour, then £30 half-hourly after that.

✎ Fixed Price Work

Some jobs have a set price because I know what’s involved. This is either standard work or planned work that I’ve quoted for.

Standard Jobs

Standard jobs have standard prices.

Boiler Service: £60
Gas Safety Check (CP12): £40 (covers up to two appliances)

Quotes and Estimates

I can usually understand in advance what I need to do for planned work, like replacing a radiator or fitting a new tap. If a job has a clear scope, I can give you a fixed price quote before work begins. Quotes are binding, so the price won’t change unless you decide to add something new.

Many jobs can be quoted over the phone. If I need to see the job first, I can visit to give you a no-obligation quote. All quotes are clear and binding, with no hidden extras.

Repairs and Callouts

Repair Charges

When something breaks, it’s not always possible to know the work needed for a repair before I see it. That’s why repair work is charged by time:

Callout & First Hour: £70
Each Additional Half Hour: £30

This covers the time to find the problem and fix it. If I can repair it on the first visit, I will. If I need to come back with parts, I’ll explain what’s needed and what it will cost before I continue.

Emergency Callouts

Emergency callouts are always welcome. I don’t charge extra for emergencies. They’re charged the same as any other repair visit. The first hour includes the callout and then time is charged half-hourly after that.
